Made using a web cam, “Eye Vanish” is a poetic and concise visualization of how new technological mediums have led us to question and alter our sense of privacy. Winner of Movement Media’s July “Public or Private” Videodance Contest.

*Official selection for UMOVE Touring Festival

If there was ever a dance equivalent to the 31-syllable Japanese tanka, this 31-second video dance would be it. There is an anxious edge to the way those claustrophobic close-ups blows the subject out of focus, visualising masterfully and concisely our uneasy relationship with new media.
